A signature of the HANAHANIM range, No. 35.1 brings together olives from carefully selected estates across Türkiye's Izmir and Manisa regions — the heart of the Turkish Aegean and one of the world's most respected olive-growing terroirs.
Filtered for clarity, this extra virgin olive oil carries a refined, balanced profile: gentle on the palate, with subtle grassy notes and a soft peppery finish that lingers without overwhelming.
Tasting notes
A round, harmonious oil. Mild fruitiness at first, followed by light vegetal and almond tones, finishing with a clean, peppery whisper. Low acidity reflects the quality of fruit and the care taken at harvest.
How to use it
Equally at home as a finishing oil drizzled over fresh tomatoes, grilled vegetables, or labneh — or as your everyday cooking oil for roasting, sautéing, and baking. Its multi-estate blend ensures a consistent character batch after batch.

Frequently asked questions
Where do HANAHANIM olive oils come from?
Our extra virgin olive oils come from carefully selected estates in Türkiye (the İzmir and Manisa regions, the heart of the Turkish Aegean) and Crete (known in Türkiye as Girit). Each tin is labeled with a number that identifies its specific region of origin — for example, 35.1 means İzmir, supplier 1, while 30.28.1 means Greece, Crete, supplier 1. Read more on Our Numbers.
What is the difference between extra virgin olive oil and olive pomace oil?
Extra virgin olive oil is the highest grade of olive oil — extracted from fresh olives using only mechanical means, with no heat treatment or chemical extraction, and an acidity below 0.8% as oleic acid (per GSO 1019:2022). It is best used as a finishing oil, in dressings, or for low-heat cooking.
Olive pomace oil is made from the residue left after extra virgin olive oil is pressed. It is refined and blended with a small percentage of extra virgin olive oil for character. It has a higher smoke point (~220–240°C), making it ideal for frying, sautéing, and roasting — a smarter alternative to sunflower or canola oil.
How should I store olive oil after opening?
Olive oil has three enemies: heat, light, and air. After opening, store your HANAHANIM tin in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight — a closed pantry, cupboard, or shelf away from the stove. The original metal tin is designed to protect the oil from light; keep it sealed when not in use. At typical indoor temperatures (around 22–24°C), an opened tin will keep its quality for several months. If you decant into a smaller bottle for daily use, choose dark glass and keep it tightly sealed.
How do I read the number on my HANAHANIM tin?
Every HANAHANIM tin carries a number tied to where the oil came from. For Turkish products, the number uses the official Turkish vehicle license plate code: 17 is Çanakkale (our family farm), 35 is İzmir, and so on. For Cretan products, we use the country code of Greece (30) plus the city code for Crete (28). The final number identifies the specific supplier from that region.
